Strategy #2: Recruit on Sites Candidates Actually Use

Use social media to the fullest advantage. Post positions on a variety of social media pages so that candidates can see it.

Broaden your reach beyond your website or sites such as Indeed. While these are great sources, not everyone will see your job posting if you limit yourself to these options.

Strategy #3: Create a Unique Referral Program

One of the best ways you can create a referral program is by rewarding those who refer someone to your company. For example, you can offer current employees a monetary referral bonus when one of their referral candidates is hired.

You can also treat customers and contacts outside your organization to the same thing, or provide a non-monetary reward for each hire who was referred. The value of the newly referred employee will far outweigh the cost of the program.

Strategy #4: Make your company known as a great employer

You can’t expect to instantly recruit top talent if your company isn’t known as a top employer. Focus on making your company great. Word will start spreading about your organization as a reputable place to work.

Strategy #5: Offer Unique Benefits

The type of benefits you can offer may vary due to what your company can afford to provide. This is an area where you can get creative.

Benefits can help you to stand out amongst other competitors. The majority of your competitors are already offering paid vacations, competitive pay, and medical insurance.

The question is: What can your company offer that other competitors don’t? Be creative! Focus on what benefits you can provide that will make your job opportunity stand out from the others.
